What is the Audi Advanced Key?
Audi is a firm believer in comfort and convenience. This is why all new models that we have in our showroom have keyless entry and starting. This technology lets you access to your car and begin driving, while keeping your key fob inside your pocket or your purse.
The system works by using proximity sensors in the doors and trunks paired with an electronic key radio inside the key fob. Here are some things you should know regarding Audi Advanced Key.
1. Proximity Detection
An Audi equipped with proximity detection enables you to start and enter your car without having to take the key out of your pocket or purse. This system lets you unlock your car's doors and trunk as well as the engine with a single touch of the sensor button on the key.
A proximity sensor that is based on sound also referred to a capacitive proximity sensor makes use of acoustic waves to detect the presence of nearby objects. The sensors produce a signal using an oscillator. This signal is then released into the air via a microphone which converts it to an audio file. Then, the audio files are compared to determine how similar they are and how close they are. When they are close enough that the system sends an alert signal to the key and send an ID signal that matches with the vehicle.
Proximity detection is only the first step towards an easier and more enjoyable driving experience. The Audi advanced key also has remote start capabilities which lets you initiate your vehicle's engine without leaving the range of your key FOB. This is useful for loading groceries in the boot, or securing your children in their seats or packing for an outing with the family.
Audi pre sense basic is a safety feature which helps you to avoid accidents by taking action before the collision happens. It blends the data of different systems, including the front camera and radar sensors of Audi side assist, to determine the likelihood of a collision, and also warn drivers. It also triggers the automatic braking system at speeds of up to 250 km/h (155,3) and notify the driver via the virtual cockpit or head-up display.

2. Authentication
When you press your key fob's lock button the Audi advanced key system communicates with the car's sensors. This sends a code to the car's computer which confirms that the key fob is a valid key fob. This prevents unauthorized entry to the vehicle without the proper key fob.
It also allows drivers to start their cars using the key fob in their purse or pocket. The Audi advanced key system utilizes proximity sensors in the doors and the lid of the trunk and an electronic radio-frequency generator inside the key fob. The sensors unlock the doors when the key fob is close proximity to the vehicle (about five feet). When you open the trunk or pull the door handle, the vehicle recognizes the key and starts the motor.
You can also use your key fob to activate the start-up feature of your vehicle's push button. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons that are integrated into the center console, if the key fob is in your pocket or purse. The car's sensors will check the authenticity of the key fob and start the engine once they have confirmed it.
The Audi advanced key system features a keyless entry feature that lets you unlock your car doors by simply pressing the handle on the outside of the door. This is extremely practical when your hands are full or wearing gloves, such as when you're bringing groceries or kids into the vehicle. The system comes with a trunk-release button that lets you open the trunk with a kick motion. This is a great feature to use when you're carrying lots of groceries or children into the vehicle.

3. Keyless Entry
Keyless entry systems can be a huge option when you're carrying children, groceries or other gear. You can unlock your car simply by touching a button or sensor on the door handle (some models have this technology built right into the lock). If you're carrying the key fob, it'll send an alarm to activate the car's sensors to let it know you're nearby and your finger is firmly at the button. This will prevent unauthorised use of the vehicle by making sure only you are able to open the doors.
A keyless entry system will often include the ability to remotely start your vehicle without the use of a physical key. This is accomplished with sensors that are mounted in the trunk, tailgate or even in the vehicle's doors. The sensors will start the engine of the vehicle and then unlock the doors when the fob is within the distance of the car, typically, around 5 feet. Then, you can press a button to start your car. This is a great method to warm your car before you leave in the morning to go to work or when it's cold outside.
Some of the most sophisticated versions of keyless entry don't require a key fob at all. These vehicles can be opened and unlocked with a smartphone application. This is a great solution for families or business owners who would like their employees to have easy access to their company vehicles. Certain keyless entry systems even keep track of the driver's preferred seating position or cabin temperature. This is a huge time saver when you're pulling towards the parking lot.
Some of the more sophisticated versions of keyless entry systems come with a touch-activated rear hatch function that automatically closes and secure your cargo space by a simple tap of your foot. This technology is offered in a variety of Audi models and may be offered as an option in the standard model, or as an upgrade, based on the model. Be aware that these systems are not completely secure and could be hacked by skilled thieves with technical knowledge or tools.
4. Push-Button Start
Audi is, unlike other brands of vehicles that offer remote starting at the factory, doesn't offer it. Audi offers a different option with similar features to remote start, which is called the Audi Advanced Key.
This isn't a remote start system but it's a great choice for those who wish to start their vehicle without having to insert keys. This feature allows you to unlock the doors of your Audi A4 or start the car by pressing a single button. This button is located in the same place you normally will find the ignition on a standard vehicle.
You'll require your key fob as well as to be within 5 feet of the vehicle in order to activate this feature. Sensors in the door handles or trunk will be activated once you and your key fob are within five feet of the car. Once you have an equivocal signal and correct code the vehicle will allow you to lock the doors or start the engine.
With the press of the button, you can quickly access your Audi A4 and begin driving without the need to fumble through your pockets or purse for the keys. This feature is perfect for those who park their vehicles frequently. It is also an excellent benefit for those who have to warm up their vehicle quickly to get on the road.
Once you're inside your vehicle it will continue to communicate with your key fob. This is done using encrypted signals to prevent hacking. It is also possible to use a Keyless Go Card as a backup. It's a credit card-sized card that can be used to open the vehicle in case your key fob is damaged or lost.
